Make plans now for the Fourth Annual
Montevallo Arts Fest, April 9-10, 2010!
 The 2010 Fest will begin on Friday evening, April 9, at 7:00 p.m. with a concert by the Gary Motley Jazz Trio at the Parnell Memorial Library Theatre in Montevallo.
Vocalist Veronica Motley will also appear with the Trio. Tickets for the concert will be $15 for adults and $7.00 for students.
On Saturday, April 10, the Montevallo Art Show will be held from 10 a.m. til 4 p.m. in Orr Park.

If you are an artist interested in exhibiting at the show, you may print a descriptive brochure and application in pdf form, or you may request one at artcoordinator@montevalloartscouncil.org.
Information for Volunteers
The success of the Montevallo Art Show also depends on the help of many volunteers, especially students. If you are interesting in working as a volunteer at the April 10 show, you may download a description of opportunities for volunteers, or you may e-mail volunteer@montevalloartscouncil.org.

 The Gallery is now featuring a Winter Showing of Recent Works by Troy and Becky Bolton Crisswell (December 3, 2009 - March 13, 2010). The artists presented a gallery talk on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at 2:00 p. m. in the Library Meeting Room.
 Beginning on March 16, the Gallery will feature Parallel Worlds: New Oil Paintings by John Heine (March 16 - May 25, 2010). The artist will present a gallery talk on Sunday, April 25, at 2:00 p. m. in the Library Meeting Room.
Support and participate in the arts!
The Council supports the work of community arts organizations, including Montevallo Main Street Players, Montevallo Chorale, and Montevallo Community Band.
The Council also offers workshops for artists and people interested in the arts. In conjunction with the Winter Showing of Recent Works by Troy and Becky Bolton Crisswell, the Arts Council sponsored a workshop on Febrary 6,2010, by Troy Crisswell. Titled Phases of Painting: The Process of Starting a Painting, the workshop focused on understanding process and gaining insights that could be applied in painting.
The University of Montevallo Calendar of Fine Arts and Cultural Events provides a convenient guide to events at the University of Montevallo. The Alabama Symphony Orchestra also presents an annual series of concerts at the University of Montevallo.
